Thoughts

Aunty Elaine, where on earth do I start! So many amazing memories, in fact you knew me before I knew myself! From the moment Andrew and I were born on the same day on that cold January morning and the poor midwife got pneumonia going back and forth from our home to yours, there was always a story to tell, and the bond between our families grew stronger and stronger. The one special memory I will never forget was the day you came with my mum and me and YOU chose my wedding dress and that same day you said “Now I won’t be offended if it’s not possible, but could I make a speech at your wedding”! OMG I was absolutely honoured, and of course it was a legendary one. Just like you 💕. Thank you for all the advice, love and laughter you gave me, and for welcoming Lee, Amelia and Darcy into your home with open arms, as long as Lee made you a coffee! And then making special memories with them too. Sleep well my beautiful second mummy. Love you forever Michelle xx

Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.
From both of us with much love, forever in our hearts

Our Mum was only petite in stature but had a large personality. She had a big heart and would help anyone. She will be missed every day, but she leaves many good memories. Sleep tight Mum, love you. xxx
